Available Templates
Lease templates set up a French commercial lease (bail commercial) from its standard shape, such as the 3/6/9, so the term, the tenant's exits, every notice deadline and what happens after the term are filled in for you. Templates show up when a lease's governing law is France, and their names follow the language you use Leasecake in.
Rules every French template shares
Only the tenant can leave, and only on a set exit date: an anniversary of commencement, or the end of the term.
An early exit falls on the anniversary, so the tenant's last day is the day before. The end-of-term exit is the last day of the term.
Each exit needs six months' notice before that date.
After the term, the lease carries on quarter by quarter until either party gives six months' notice (tacite prolongation).
The lease has no renewal or purchase options.

Find leases by template
The Template column on the Leases list shows each lease's shape, including leases that only match one. It's hidden by default.
On the Leases list, open the column picker.
Tick Template, then click Apply columns.
To narrow the list, use the Made From Template filter. It lists each French shape.
Save the filter as a view to get back to it in one click.
Common questions
Can I make my own templates?
Does changing a template later change my leases?
No. A lease keeps the template and version it was made from. Editing a template never changes existing leases.
Can I edit a lease after using a template?
Yes. Everything stays editable, and the lease's banner tells you if it no longer matches its template.
No templates are showing
Check the lease's governing law. French templates only show for France.
