Connect Your AI Assistant to LeaseOS
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok to LeaseOS and ask about your leases in plain English. The connection uses LeaseOS's AI Assistant Connection (MCP) server, and the assistant works from your live LeaseOS data. Entries set up before the rename under the name Leasecake keep working; new setup registers LeaseOS.
The connection is enabled per organization. If you do not see it, ask the person who administers your workspace to turn it on.
Connect your assistant
Three steps: set up your organization's connection address, add it to your assistant, and approve access by signing in to LeaseOS.
In LeaseOS, go to Connect Your AI Assistant and set up the connection address for your organization. Each organization has its own address.
In your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok), add the connection using that address.
Approve the connection by signing in to LeaseOS. This gives the assistant access as you.
Step-by-step instructions for each provider are in Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok to LeaseOS.
What the assistant can do
The assistant looks things up and works with reports. It can:
Search leases and read a lease's details and abstract
List critical dates, options, payment schedules, journal entries, and period closings
Show accounting summaries, amortization schedules, disclosures, and the portfolio accounting overview
Browse report datasets, then build, save, and re-run reports
Reports the assistant saves appear alongside your organization's other reports.
Tools the assistant can use
The LeaseOS Portfolio server exposes these tools. The assistant works under your permissions, so it can only use the tools your role allows: journal entries, period closes, the portfolio accounting overview, and disclosures require accounting access, and saving a report requires report-write access.
Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
Search the portfolio by free text, name, asset class, status, location, expiration window, or options
Read one lease in full: identity, term, locations, parties, and recurring charges
Produce the one-document lease abstract, with links to a branded PDF and an Excel workbook
List dated obligations and deadlines across the portfolio in a date range
List renewal, termination, and purchase options with their notice deadlines
Read the dated payments on one lease, totaled per currency and direction
Read one lease's classification, discount rate, and opening liability and ROU asset under one standard
Read the period-by-period amortization schedule under one standard
List settled journal entries and their lines
List period closes and their month-end close status
Read one close's details, including blocked and changed leases, totals, and batches
Report lease balances and close readiness by reporting entity, fiscal year, standard, currency, and classification
Read a reporting entity's lease footnote disclosure for a standard and fiscal year
List the saved reports you can open
List standard report templates and what each can answer
List the report datasets you may read
Describe a dataset's fields, definitions, and filter operators
Build and save a report from a dataset's fields and filters, with a preview and downloads
Run a saved report and get fresh spreadsheet downloads
All of these are read-only lookups except create-report, which saves a report without changing any lease or accounting record.
What the assistant cannot do
The connection is read-only: it never creates or changes a lease or an accounting record.
The assistant acts as you and sees only what you can see in your organization. It cannot read anything you cannot see.
You can disconnect the assistant at any time.
